Looking for a good hamburger? Try out these for size. I haven't tried all of these places, but I'm working on it. If you have a favorite, send me some feedback.

Best Burgers in Dallas, TX

Wingfield's Breakfast & Burger has won many awards for the best burger in Dallas, most notably from D Magazine. It is located at 2615 S Beckley Ave. Unfortunately, they have no website to point you to.

Angry Dog fights its way to the top along with Wingfield's. It is a Deep Ellum tradition located at 2726 Commerce.

Best Burgers in Pittsburgh, PA

Primanti Brothers Restaurant was founded in 1934. This hamburger actually has the french fries inside the burger. The 46 18th Street location is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Best Burgers in New Haven, CT

Legend has it that the burger was invented by Louis Lassen in in 1900. The only garnishes allowed are cheese, tomato, and onion – don't even ask for ketchup or mustard.

Lous' granson, Ken, now runs the joint called Louis' Lunch. It is located at 261-263 Crown Street.

Best Burgers in Austin, TX

Hut's Hamburgers is located at 807 W 6th St. The onion rings are to die for.

P.Terry's Burger Station is a burger stand on the corner of Barton Springs and South Lamar (407 S Lamar).

Best Burgers in Coeur d'Alene, ID

Hudson's Hamburgers was founded in 1907 by Harley Hudson. It is located at 207 E Sherman Ave, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Some people think it is the best burger in the entire country. Raymond Sokolov of the Wall Street Journal calls it "certainly the best $2 burger in creation."

Best Burgers in Seattle, WA

The prize for the best burger in Seattle goes to Red Mill Burgers. The Phinney Ridge location is at 312 N 67th St. Try out the Bleu Cheese and Bacon Burger, and don't forget Babe's Onion Rings.

Best Cheeseburger in Los Angeles, CA

If you're in L.A., stop by The Apple Pan at 10801 W Pico Blvd for a great hickory cheeseburger and fries with a little grumpy service on the side. It has a horeshoe-shaped counter and is a popular L.A. landmark.

Best Burgers in Atlanta, GA

If you don't mind a biker joint, visit The Vortex Bar & Grill in Atlanta at 438 Moreland Ave.

The Earl Bar and Lounge at 488 Flat Shoals Ave SE, East Atlanta has great burgers. They are also famous for their live rock music.

If biker joints and bars aren't your cup of tea, try out Ann's Snack Bar at 1615 Memorial Dr (Cross Street: Dixie Street SE). Miss Ann enforces eight rules, including, "Do not curse" and "Don't allow babies to sit or stand on counter." The best burger is called the Ghetto Burger with onion, bacon, chili and cheese. Ann's is the recipient of the Best Burger in America from the Wall Street Journal food reporter Raymond Sokolov.
